What Happens If My Child Misses a Session?

It Happens — Here's How We Handle It

Life gets busy. School trips, illness, family events — we understand that a 6-week program will occasionally conflict with something.

    The Recording

Every session is recorded and the recording is shared with the cohort within 24 hours. Students who miss a session receive:

    1. The full session recording

    2. The case file update for that week

    3. The evidence drop (new clue) so they can form their own hypothesis before the next session

    The Catch-Up Process

We ask students who miss a session to:

    • Watch the recording before the next session (50 minutes)
    • Update their case file with the new evidence
    • Come to the next session ready to contribute
The narrative structure of the program means missing one session is like missing an episode of a show — you can catch up, but attending live is always better because the group discussion is where the real reasoning happens.

    Attendance Expectations

Our target is 10 of 12 sessions attended. Students who fall below this threshold are offered a spot in the next cohort's equivalent week at no additional charge. We don't penalise — we accommodate.

    What We Don't Do

We don't let students "audit" or attend sporadically. The program is a narrative — each session builds on the last. A student who misses 4+ sessions has missed too much of the story for the remaining sessions to be meaningful. In that case, we offer a fresh start in the next cohort.
